The Victorian Period

Queen Victoria’s Cavalry has been extensively recreated in the form of the 17th Lancers for television documentaries and for live shows in England, but also in Africa and in the Crimea. Highlights have included the 150th Anniversary commemorations at Balaclava on behalf of the modern regiment the Royal Lancers and before his Highness The Duke of Edinburgh as well as displays in Natal for His Royal Highness Chief Buthelezi of the Zulu nation. In England the Lancers have performed at the Royal Tournament, the British Military Tournament, for English Heritage and again in front of Queen Elizabeth at Catterick Camp for the 250th Anniversary of the Queens Royal Lancers.
