The Troop, in conjunction with Griffin Historical, introduced breakaway lance jousting to English Heritages programme of events in 1997 and subsequently developed a series of Medieval events for EH including “The Knights Tournament”, a national 4 Team Jousting series, and “Clash of Knights”, a no holds barred Medieval “Bohund” or Club Melee. In 2006 we provided an unprecedented 100 mounted Norman Knights for the largest ever reconstruction of the Battle of Hastings and Alan Larsen portrayed Duke William of Normandy. Television work has included William Marshall The Greatest Knight for BBC’s Timewatch series with Saul David.
